TURKEY'S FIRST CAR-CARRYING SHIP TRANSPORTED 1 MILLION VEHICLES IN 17 YEARS.

Vehicle transportation from Black Sea ports provides critical logistics infrastructure that strengthens Turkey's export capacity and accelerates regional trade. These shipments not only boost trade but also keep the country's economy vibrant, directly contributing to the chain from production to export. Cenk Shipping Group, a pioneer in Turkish maritime affairs with over 40 years of experience in the sector, contributes directly to automotive exports and transit vehicle transportation with an annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles thanks to Turkey's first “Carcarrier” ship, added to its fleet in 2008.

Vehicle transportation from Black Sea ports provides critical logistics infrastructure that strengthens Turkey's export capacity and accelerates regional trade. Cenk Shipping Group, which pioneered automotive transport in maritime shipping by adding Turkey's first car carrier to its fleet in 2008, increases port operation efficiency with its 95-meter-long starboard ramp vessel. Thanks to its wide ramp and high maneuverability, the ship facilitates docking and departure at ports while carrying out vehicle loading and handling processes quickly and safely.

Contributing to the Economy with an Annual Capacity of 50,000 Vehicles

With a capacity of approximately 600 cars, Cenk Car also offers the possibility of transporting SUVs and light commercial vehicles. Reaching an annual vehicle transport capacity of 50,000, the ship increases the economic value of transportation on the Black Sea route every year. Emphasizing that this capacity makes a significant contribution to Turkey's automotive exports, Attila Yener, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cenk Shipping Group, said, “The safe transportation of tens of thousands of vehicles each year is not just a logistics activity, but also a strategic contribution that keeps the pulse of exports. These activities directly add strength to the dynamism of the Turkish economy.”

Regular Services on the Black Sea Route, Uninterrupted Trade

Cenk Car has been operating continuously on Black Sea car carrier routes for 17 years. The ship connects Turkey's Yarımcaport and Safiport ports with Georgia's Poti, Ukraine's Chernomorsk, and Romania's Constanta ports. Attila Yener stated that regular voyages ensure the continuity of regional trade, adding, “The Black Sea has become one of Turkey's economic arteries. We see this route not only as a transportation route but also as a trade bridge connecting the economies of the region.”

Trade Chain Extending from the Far East to the Caucasus

Cenk Shipping Group's transportation network is not limited to maritime transport. Transit vehicles originating from the Far East and Turkish automotive exports transported on the Georgia route are delivered to Tbilisi (Georgia), Baku (Azerbaijan), and the cities of Almaty and Astana in Kazakhstan thanks to partnerships with subcontractors. Emphasizing that maritime transport is a starting point, Yener stated, “We have created a logistics network extending to Central Asia through road integration. This is a strategic step that supports Turkey's export goals.”
