Anadolu Group is expanding in Central Asia through the automotive sector. With Anadolu Isuzu's acquisition of SamAuto, the Isuzu manufacturer in Uzbekistan, Anadolu Group is embarking on its first overseas automotive production operation. Anadolu Group Chairman Kamil Yazıcı stated, "Following our investment in the beverage sector, we are now investing in the automotive sector in Uzbekistan, a booming economy in Central Asia. Both countries will benefit from this investment."

Anadolu Group has realized its first overseas production investment in the automotive sector as part of its Vision 2035 long-term roadmap. Anadolu Isuzu acquired a 75.2% stake in SamAuto, a long-standing joint venture between Japanese Isuzu and Itochu operating in Uzbekistan, for US$80,606,866. Following the acquisition, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov received Anadolu Group's senior management in Tashkent. The visit was attended by Anadolu Group Honorary Chairman Tuncay Özilhan, Anadolu Group Chairman Kamil Yazıcı, Anadolu Group CEO Burak Başarır, Anadolu Group Automotive Group President Bora Koçak, Anadolu Isuzu General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan, and Anadolu Isuzu CFO Fatih Vural.
“We will continue to add value to our country and the Uzbek economy”
Anadolu Group Chairman Kamil Yazıcı stated that Anadolu Group aims to further expand its international sphere of influence and increase its regional production power within the scope of its Vision 2035 roadmap, and said: “As Anadolu Group, we have a broad ecosystem with nearly 100 production facilities, 6 R&D centers, and more than 100,000 employees in 20 countries. Today, we are one of the biggest forces in the Turkish economy, both in terms of our numerical data and production power, and with the projects we have developed and are involved in in a social and societal sense. Since 2021, we have been operating in Uzbekistan with a strong production and distribution network in the beverage sector. As Coca-Cola İçecek, we have invested over $500 million in the country to date. With the SamAuto investment, which we consider a significant turning point in our growth strategy, we are strengthening the presence of both Anadolu Isuzu and our Group in Central Asia. With this investment, we will continue to contribute to both our country and the Uzbek economy.” "We will continue to add value to the Uzbek economy," he said.
Kamil Yazıcı continued: "This acquisition, which is of great importance as it is our group's first overseas production investment in the automotive sector, is one of the most concrete steps towards regional leadership and sustainable growth in line with Anadolu Group's Vision 2035 goals. This step will strengthen Anadolu Group's position as a multi-sector player in Central Asia, while also increasing the volume of mutual investment, production, and trade between Turkey and Uzbekistan. Both countries will benefit from this investment, which will create a lasting foundation for long-term economic cooperation."
