The Peninsula Pit Stop – A Mobile Café in a 1936 Austin 7

Unveiled at the Brooklands pop-up bar during the Goodwood Revival in September, The Peninsula Pit Stop adds a nostalgic charm to the hotel’s fleet.This meticulously restored 1936 Austin 7 taxi, finished in signature Peninsula Green, once served the Royal Mail and has now been transformed into a stylish mobile café.Handcrafted with precision, the vehicle now serves freshly brewed coffee, tea, and light refreshments, offering guests a unique pause between past and present.Located in the

hotel courtyard and select London venues, it brings a touch of vintage elegance to modern city life.

Unveiled in 1995, this masterpiece transforms the BMW 850CSi into a canvas, depicting the driver and engine in layered tones of green, grey, and white—capturing what Hockney describes as “the experience of driving blending with the surrounding landscape.”

As the BMW Art Car Collection marks its 50th anniversary with a global tour in 2025, The Peninsula London proudly serves as one of its distinguished stops.
