Oyak Renault Factory Strengthens Its Strategic Position in Turkey’s Automotive Industry in 2025

In 2025, Oyak Renault Factory reinforced its strategic position within Turkey’s automotive sector through a robust production infrastructure and increased export volumes. The company achieved a total production of 387,113 units, closing the year with a high-volume performance. During the same period, exports reached 271,994 units, representing an approximate 14% increase compared to the previous year.

Oyak Renault Factory Completes 2025 with High Production Volume and Strong Export Performance

Turkey’s largest passenger car manufacturing facility, Oyak Renault Factory, closed 2025 with a high production volume and strong export performance. At Oyak Renault Automobile Factories, 336,336 vehicles were produced, and combined with 50,777 units manufactured through the collaboration with Karsan, the total production reached 387,113 units. Exports, which totaled 239,116 units at the end of 2024, rose by approximately 14% to 271,994 units by the end of 2025.

Oyak Renault’s high production pace in passenger cars, reaching 336,336 units during the year, was further supported by new additions to its product portfolio. The continued production of the New Clio at the Bursa factories as of September 2025 highlighted the strategic role of Bursa facilities within the Renault ecosystem in Turkey. Additionally, the Boreal model, announced in July 2025 to be produced in Bursa, is planned to reach users in 2026 following the completion of production preparations.

Local Production and New Model Launches Take Center Stage

Alongside its production strength, local content was a key highlight of Oyak Renault’s 2025 performance. All models produced in Bursa achieved at least 40% local content, reinforcing the added value provided to Turkey’s automotive supply chain. With this approach, the company maintained a consistent focus on sustainable production and the development of the domestic industry.

The year 2025 was significant not only for production and export performance but also for laying the groundwork for upcoming model plans. Following the mass production launch of the Boreal in 2026, Oyak Renault aims to introduce another model representing the next phase of its strategic plan, further strengthening the Bursa facilities’ position within Renault’s global production network.

Commenting on 2025, Lionel Jaillet, Chairman of Oyak Renault and CEO of Renault Group Turkey, stated: “With an annual production capacity of 390,000 vehicles, Oyak Renault continues to operate as Turkey’s largest passenger car factory. The Oyak Renault campus stands out not only as the country’s highest-capacity passenger car production facility but also as a fully integrated center housing critical functions such as Engineering, Purchasing, and Supply Chain.On the same campus, our Oyak Horse factory, the only facility in Turkey producing engines and gearboxes for passenger vehicles, is highlighted for its next-generation hybrid engine production. More than 70% of our production is exported to multiple countries, positioning Turkey as a global export hub at the intersection of Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa for the Renault Group.Under Renault’s International Game Plan, together with our strong partner OYAK, we announced investments of over €400 million by 2027 for four new models. After starting production of the new Renault Duster in 2024, we began production of the New Clio in September 2025. The New Clio will hit Turkish roads in the first quarter of 2026. That same year, we will also begin production of our new C-segment SUV, Boreal. Boreal will not only be sold domestically but exported to over 50 countries from Eastern Europe to the Middle East and the Mediterranean region.As part of our strategic plan, we also intend to announce another new model in 2026.
