In a long-haul winter range test conducted by the German automobile club ADAC, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron performance achieved the longest range on a single charge, reaching 441 kilometers. These results once again highlight Audi's strong position in electric mobility, particularly in long-haul, winter conditions, and 800V architecture.

Electric mobility has undergone a significant test in terms of long-distance performance in challenging winter conditions. The German automobile club ADAC has announced the results of a long-distance winter range test covering 14 different electric family cars. The test, conducted at an average air temperature of 0°C, at highway speeds, and with quick charging stops limited to 20 minutes each only when the vehicle's battery reached a level too low for highway use , saw the Audi A6 Avant e-tron performance, which made its first charging stop at km 441 of its route, top the list in low-temperature conditions.
441 Kilometers on a Single Charge: The Benchmark for Long-Distance Performance.
In a test conducted by ADAC, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron performance achieved a range of 441 kilometers at real highway speeds and in winter conditions. In the simulated test scenario, based on the Munich–Berlin route, the vehicle recorded a continuous driving time of 3 hours and 49 minutes on a 518 km route, starting from a full charge, at an average speed of 116 km/h. Based on these figures, it topped the list with a range of 441 km.
This result clearly distinguishes the Audi A6 Avant e-tron performance from other models in the test, particularly in terms of "range predictability," one of the most important expectations of electric vehicle users, especially on long-distance journeys. According to ADAC data, while most of the 14 models in the test required two charging stops to complete the same course, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron performance stood out as one of the limited number of models that completed this challenging scenario with a single stop.
Efficiency that Reduces Range Anxiety in Winter Conditions
In a test conducted at an average outside temperature of 0°C, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron achieved a fuel consumption of 23.2 kWh per 100 kilometers. According to the ADAC report, while fuel consumption increases in cold weather conditions compared to WLTP data, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron performance's ability to keep this difference relatively low was a notable aspect of the test.
The performance achieved revealed that Audi's approach to electric mobility focuses not only on range but also on energy management and efficiency optimization. Results obtained under test conditions combining cold weather, highway speed, and real-world traffic scenarios demonstrated that the Audi A6 Avant e-tron offers a balanced and reliable driving experience during the winter months.
800V Architecture Redefines the Long-Distance Journey Experience
The ADAC report specifically highlighted the advantages offered by 800V infrastructure as a key differentiator among modern electric vehicle architectures. The Audi A6 Avant e-tron performance achieved the best result in the test, gaining approximately 300 kilometers of range in a 20-minute fast charging session thanks to its 800V architecture.
The report emphasizes that models with 800V infrastructure provide a significant time advantage in long-distance driving due to their high charging speeds, while some models with 400V architecture exhibit lower charging performance under the same conditions. Test results support the finding that the Audi A6 Avant e-tron performance model offers a smoother driving experience with shorter breaks on long journeys.
Audi Engineering in Electric Mobility
The results from ADAC's long-haul winter range test demonstrate that Audi's vision for electric mobility is concretely realized in real-world conditions. Confident range during long-haul driving, high efficiency in winter conditions, and the fast charging advantage offered by the 800V architecture all support the Audi A6 Avant e-tron's strong position and claim in electric mobility with tangible data.
Realistic test scenarios and data obtained by an independent institution show that Audi's electric models deliver performance that meets expectations not only in laboratory conditions but also in everyday use.
