Free Tire Replacement and Storage Coverage Is Coming to Auto Insurance Policies Through a Collaboration Between Homer and Insurance Companies
This winter, as heavy rainfall, sudden temperature drops, and challenging road conditions are expected across Turkey, the mandatory use of winter tires for commercial vehicles has also come into effect. At a time when road safety is more critical than ever, Turkey’s Smart Service Network, HOMER Smart Auto Services, has set a first in Turkey by introducing an innovative tire coverage to comprehensive auto insurance policies, granting customers the right to two tire changes per year and free tire storage under professional conditions for one year.
This innovative tire coverage, offered for the first time in Turkey within the scope of insurance policies, has been incorporated into policies and put into practice by Quick Sigorta, Doğa Sigorta, and Fiba Sigorta.

Extend the life of your tires up to 10 years!
In Turkey—especially in major cities—homes and residential complexes often lack proper tire storage areas, and incorrect storage conditions reduce tire lifespan by an average of 20%.
Emphasizing that automobile tires can technically last up to 10 years when stored under proper conditions, HOMER continues to serve as a reliable solution partner for insurance companies thanks to its digital infrastructure that centrally manages tire change processes across Turkey. Under the new coverage, policyholders are offered—free of charge within a single policy—two tire mounting/dismounting services per year and one year of professional tire storage.
A New Era for Both Driver Safety and the Insurance Experience
According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and sector data, an average of 25 million tires are sold annually in Turkey, demand for tire changes increases by 18 percent during winter months, and approximately 45 percent of vehicles registered in Turkey need seasonal tire changes, noted Erkan Işıksal, General Manager of HOMER Smart Auto Services. He added, “We are entering a period where winter conditions will worsen. The mandatory use of winter tires for commercial vehicles, effective November 15, 2025, creates additional costs and operational burdens for drivers. Increasing weather events, regions where heavy snowfall is expected, and long-haul commercial transportation have significantly increased the demand for tire changes. While millions of vehicles in Turkey need seasonal tire changes, tire storage services are still not sufficiently widespread and professional. With HOMER's service and the newly introduced tire insurance program, this service is becoming a nationwide scaled operation.”
Highlighting that they repair approximately 30,000 vehicles annually with over 1,500 field employees and manage 4.5 million spare parts data, Erkan Işıksal stated, “This coverage, which we have implemented with insurance companies, provides a significant cost advantage, practicality, and safety for drivers, while for insurance companies it is a powerful innovation that increases customer satisfaction. Drivers will experience safe road conditions in every season, and our smart service network will monitor the process from a single center. As HOMER, we are proud to have set a precedent in the insurance sector with our 350 service points. We are the only service brand in Turkey that offers the same standard of pricing, original spare parts when needed, and a guarantee of quality workmanship. A world where the joy of travel never stops is possible, and we are here for that.”
An Application Set to Establish New Standards in the Industry
As Turkey’s Smart Service Network, HOMER emphasizes that it has undertaken a critical role in helping both commercial and individual drivers prepare for challenging winter conditions. The company highlights that this service, integrated into insurance policies, will not only enhance the user experience but also set a new standard in the insurance industry.
A First in the Sector
Offered for the first time in Turkey within the scope of insurance policies through a collaboration with HOMER, this service is positioned as an innovative step that increases customer satisfaction and road safety across the insurance sector.
