A New Era Begins in High-Efficiency EV Charging

Schneider Electric is ushering in a new era in high-power, high-efficiency EV charging with the Schneider StarCharge Fast 720.

  • A robust and intelligent charging solution offering 97% efficiency for all road users, from electric trucks to cars.

  • Scalable solution from 360 kW to 720 kW for challenging environments and changing mobility needs.

  • The flexible design offers dynamic charging for up to 12 vehicles simultaneously, while the extended distance between the distributor unit and the cab provides unparalleled installation flexibility.

Schneider StarCharge Fast 720

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy technology , Schneider announced the launch of the StarCharge Fast 720, the newest addition to its expanding portfolio of next-generation electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. Designed to meet the evolving needs of the mobility sector, this solution offers a robust, user-friendly, and efficient charging solution for commercial sites, industrial sites, and fleets.

In the first nine months of 2025 , 16% of new car registrations in the EU were electric. This clearly demonstrates the progress the EU is making as it approaches its 2035 ban on petrol and diesel engines. Schneider Electric supports this electrification transition by offering comprehensive, innovative solutions encompassing chargers, advanced software and infrastructure, as well as medium and low voltage (MV/LV) switchboards and energy storage systems.

High Power, High Efficiency

Providing up to 720 kW of power, Schneider StarCharge Fast 720 dynamically distributes energy, allowing for simultaneous charging of up to 12 vehicles. Thanks to Schneider Electric's advanced load management, the system allocates charging capacity in real-time according to vehicle demand – for electric trucks, electric buses, or passenger cars – increasing efficiency and helping drivers receive the appropriate level of charge to continue their journeys on time.

Exceeding industry standards, the Schneider StarCharge Fast 720 boasts a 97% efficiency rate, offering exceptionally high performance while benefiting from a space-saving design. With a nominal output of 380A, expandable to 600A, the Schneider StarCharge 720 provides high output power to meet even the most demanding infrastructure needs.

Decentralized Architecture for Maximum Flexibility

Schneider StarCharge 720 exemplifies a commitment to flexibility, efficiency, and infrastructure, with an architecture ranging from 360 kW to 720 kW. This flexibility enables charging point operators to meet their evolving needs, making the transition to electrification in transportation more efficient.

The Schneider StarCharge Fast 720 also features a completely decentralized architecture. All components, including power conversion and control, are housed within a single integrated cabinet. This single-cabinet, integrated design reduces grid connections, simplifies installation and maintenance, enables dynamic load balancing between distribution units, and provides scalability as needs evolve. It also creates a quieter experience for EV drives by containing noise-generating elements within the power cabinet.

This decentralized approach allows site owners to deploy up to six splitter units with two outlets anywhere within an 80-meter radius of the power cabinet, enabling simultaneous charging of up to 12 vehicles. The result is compact space utilization and unparalleled flexibility in charging infrastructure deployment, allowing for star configurations suitable for any site.

Comprehensive Maintenance for Maximum Uptime

Robust and easy to install, the Schneider StarCharge Fast 720 prioritizes ease of use for both operators and drivers.

End-to-end support throughout the entire lifecycle simplifies maintenance for maximum uptime. From installation to a customized maintenance plan, operators can continue their operations with peace of mind, free from the risk of downtime, including a 24/7 helpline, rapid spare parts availability, and emergency dispatch. Remote monitoring via Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Energy Asset Portal also helps ensure maximum uptime and reduce maintenance costs. Advanced monitoring capabilities make it an ideal choice for businesses seeking a reliable, flexible, and future-ready EV charging infrastructure.

Schneider eStar CEO Anthony Song said: “To meet the growing demand for eMobility in the transportation sector, building a flexible, intelligent, adaptable, and efficient charging infrastructure for all vehicle types will be critical. With its decentralized architecture, high power output, and industry-leading efficiency, we enable our customers to build a scalable charging network solution that meets the needs of all road users today and tomorrow.”

Schneider Electric e-Mobility Director Hakan Kurtulmuş stated, "We believe that these systems, referred to as satellite-type systems, will shape the market in the coming period. We have successfully completed the installation of Turkey's first air-to-air cooled 720 kW product at the Ankara Taymek Rest Area, and we are proud to have achieved a first in this field. As the Schneider eStar family, with the responsibility that comes with our leadership in the Turkish market for DC charging solutions, we will resolutely continue to increase our investments in the charging ecosystem."

Schneider StarCharge Fast 720 is now available for charging point operator installations across Europe.
