Nissan Unveils All-New, Fully Electric JUKE, Advancing its European Electrification Strategy
• The all-new, third-generation JUKE, a bold evolution of Nissan’s iconic compact crossover model, has been unveiled.
• The first 100% electric JUKE is built on the CMF-EV platform and will be manufactured in Sunderland, UK.
• The newest addition to the expanded EV range in Europe

Nissan unveiled the all-new, fully electric JUKE at its Vision event at its global headquarters in Japan, marking a significant step in its electrification strategy in Europe. As the European electric vehicle market continues to grow, Nissan is leveraging its 15 years of experience and leadership in electric vehicles to meet the diverse needs of customers in a competitive market environment, building upon this expertise to develop new products.
Agile, compact, and undeniably Nissan-specific, this first electric Juke reinterprets one of Europe's most distinctive compact crossover models, maintaining its character and feel even in the electric vehicle era. This model is part of Nissan's broader strategy to offer an electric powertrain for every type of customer today.
Since its initial launch in 2010, the JUKE has been chosen by 1.5 million people in Europe and has changed the look and feel of the compact crossover class thanks to its striking, distinctive design. The new JUKE retains this character while offering a fully electric powertrain, supporting Nissan's journey towards zero-emission mobility.
A Flexible Transition Path to Full Electrification
The fully electric JUKE joins Nissan's growing range of electric vehicles in Europe. This range includes the new MICRA, the third-generation LEAF, the Ariya crossover, and the Townstar light commercial vehicle (LCV), with a new A-segment electric vehicle soon to join. The JUKE EV, along with the third-generation LEAF, will offer Vehicle-to-Grid technology, supporting the integration of electric vehicles into the broader energy ecosystem.
While expanding its electric vehicle lineup, Nissan continues to offer its e-POWER series hybrid technology, which provides an electric driving experience without the need for charging. Nissan's hybrid models will remain a key part of the product range, ensuring customer access to technologies tailored to their needs.
Massimiliano Messina, President of Nissan AMIEO, stated: “Europe is at the heart of Nissan’s electrification strategy, and we are strongly committed to a fully electric future.” “With our rapidly expanding EV product range, we are bringing more options and innovations to every segment thanks to our strong design, engineering and manufacturing infrastructure in the region. Together, these new generation vehicles will accelerate our transition to zero-emission mobility.”
The Power of Electrification Rising from Europe
The all-new, fully electric JUKE will be produced at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK, further strengthening the plant’s central role in the company’s global electric vehicle strategy. Already home to the LEAF and with pre-production of the JUKE set to begin in the coming weeks, the Sunderland plant remains a cornerstone of Nissan’s electric manufacturing structure in Europe.
This commitment is supported by Nissan’s broader regional capabilities, including its design, engineering and development network across the UK, Spain and Germany. These operations demonstrate Nissan’s long-term investment in Europe as both a manufacturing and innovation hub, and the company continues to design, engineer and manufacture vehicles in Europe for European customers.
Clíodhna Lyons, Regional Vice President of Product, Brand and Marketing Strategy at Nissan AMIEO, said, “The JUKE has always represented bold design and a willingness to challenge tradition. With this third generation, we are carrying that spirit into the electric age. As the first fully electric JUKE, it will help us reach new customers while expanding options across our electric product range.”
Unveiled at Nissan Vision Event
The third-generation JUKE made its world premiere at the Nissan Vision Event in Japan. At this event, the company presented its long-term direction, product roadmap, and technological innovations to global media, stakeholders, and employees. The new JUKE will be available for sale starting in spring 2027.
