WAT Mobility is focusing on high-speed charging infrastructure in 2026

WAT Mobilite, a Koç Group company, completed 2025 by commissioning 1,971 charging sockets at 622 charging points in 62 cities across Türkiye. Focusing on high-speed charging infrastructure in 2026, WAT Mobilite aims to make 180 kW power the standard and expand 360 kW charging services.

WAT Mobility General Manager Alp Karahasanoğlu said, “With domestically produced charging stations and strengthened infrastructure, and in line with our new investment targets, we will continue to guide Türkiye's mobility transformation and maximize customer satisfaction.”

WAT Mobility, a provider of innovative and sustainable charging solutions for electric vehicles, aims to solidify its active role in the transformation of electric vehicle infrastructure by 2026 through increasing charging power at existing stations and offering high-power charging services at new stations. By 2026, WAT Mobility plans to have high-speed charging points with a minimum capacity of 180 kW, and also aims to upgrade the location infrastructure at its existing charging points, increasing the power of low-power charging stations to 180 kW. The company also intends to expand its ultra-fast charging service, which it launched last year with 360 kW charging stations. This increase in capacity will enable electric vehicles to be charged more quickly, especially on intercity routes and in high-traffic areas.

Karahasanoğlu: We are improving users' travel habits.

Commenting on the investments made in 2025 , Alp Karahasanoğlu, General Manager of WAT Mobility & WAT Motor, said, “WAT Mobility, which has reached a 5% market share among the total of 38,735 charging sockets across Turkey, has proven to be one of the main players in the sector with its wide network of 1,971 sockets. Leveraging the technological power of the domestically produced WT Series, we continue to lead Turkey's mobility transformation with the high-speed charging infrastructure we offer.” Stating that they are working continuously to improve the quality of service they offer in parallel with the increasing number of electric vehicles, Karahasanoğlu said, “We provide service with high-speed charging stations in a significant part of our charging network. We will expand the ultra-fast charging service, which we first launched with 360 kW charging stations in 2025, in 2026. By increasing the charging power of our existing and new locations to a minimum of 180 kW, we aim to offer our users a more efficient energy infrastructure. This transformation is not only an increase in capacity, but also a standard that improves users' travel habits. In line with our new investment targets that center on technological independence, we will continue to guide Türkiye's mobility transformation and maximize customer satisfaction.”

The domestically produced WT Series has ushered in a new era in charging.

WAT Mobilite achieved its goal of technological localization by commissioning its domestically produced 'WT Series' charging station, designed entirely by its own R&D team and manufactured in Türkiye. With its 180 kW capacity stations, which have completed the certification process, the company reduced its dependence on China and Europe in the sector, building technological know-how and expertise. The company launched its domestically produced 180 kW charging stations at its Bi Mola facilities and has also included its new 240 kW model in the certification process. It aims to provide service with 240 kW charging stations in the second quarter of 2026. Planning to fully open its current product range to the domestic market by 2026, WAT Mobilite has added value to Türkiye's energy infrastructure with this move, leveraging the power of domestic engineering.

Energy station and living space combined on the Bodrum-Istanbul road.

In 2025, WAT Mobility, which opened its 500th location, the WAT Charging HUB, a first in Türkiye featuring ultra-fast 360 kW charging stations, brought a new dimension to the charging station concept with its charging center located on the Bodrum-Istanbul road. Designed not just as an energy stop but as a comprehensive living space for electric vehicle users, the WAT Charging HUB is conceived as a rest stop that makes journeys more enjoyable in addition to meeting the energy needs of vehicles. The facility now offers social amenities such as 24/7 rest and activity areas, high-hygiene standard restrooms, and food and beverage vending machines.
